What's new in the iPhone 16 series?
The iPhone 16 series is expected to offer a host of new features and updates. Here's a look at some of what to expect:

Apple will also add a new button for capturing photos and videos on all models, allowing for more precise control.

This button replaces the traditional mute switch and allows for multiple functions such as launching the camera, turning on the flashlight, or activating “Focus” mode.
Artificial Intelligence and Siri
With system iOS 18.1Apple will introduce a suite of new AI tools called Apple Intelligencewhich will be supported by large language models.
This feature will currently only work on the iPhone 15 Pro models, but it is expected to be more widely available on the iPhone 16 series later. The new models will also see improvements to the microphones to improve the Siri experience.
Advanced camera technologies
For photography enthusiasts, the iPhone 16 Pro models will feature a 48MP ultra-wide lens, which will improve image quality, especially in low-light conditions.
The Pro models will also come with a telephoto lens with 5x zoom, a feature that was only available on the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Battery innovations
The iPhone 16 Pro models are expected to rely on stacked battery technology, increasing their capacity and lifespan, along with improving wired and wireless charging capabilities using MagSafe technology.
Processor upgrades
The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models will be powered by the A18 Pro processor, which will offer speed improvements and an advanced Neural Engine, while supporting advanced AI capabilities.
The standard models are expected to feature a version of the A18 processor, but details have yet to be confirmed.
Additional expected features
The iPhone 16 Pro Max is expected to feature an advanced periscope telephoto camera to significantly increase optical zoom.
The Pro models may also include Qualcomm's Snapdragon X75 modem to support faster and more efficient 5G connectivity. The models are also likely to adopt WiFi 7 technology that offers speeds of up to 40Gbps.
