Free-to-play football game UFL gets a surprise delay days before release

Developer Strikerz Inc has announced that its highly anticipated free-to-play football game UFL will face a surprise delay after it was originally scheduled to release on September 15.

It will be The game is now out on December 5th.However, anyone who pre-ordered the game will get early access to the game on November 28. The developer stated regarding the delay that it was not an easy decision, and that they had to work on the game and take into account the players’ feedback that came from the beta periods in which more than 2 million players participated, and this was also appreciated by the developer.

“We would like to explain why we made this decision and what it means for you. While we could have released the game on schedule, we believe that taking more time will allow us to deliver the best possible experience.”

When the game is eventually released, developer Strikerz claims that UFL will focus on a “fair play” ideology, where players will be fairly matched against opponents of similar skill levels.

While the game will be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S and will be free across those platforms, the pre-order bundle costs $15, and includes early access, exclusive customization items, in-game currency, and more.

In a previous news, we learned that the game developer has officially moved its development to Epic's new generation Unreal Engine 5.

It is worth mentioning that there will be great freedom given to players in order to create the competitive kit that every footballer dreams of. The customization system created by the development team will allow all fans of this genre to choose the team colors and individual aesthetic elements of the uniform worn by the virtual players.
