Apple officially integrates ChatGPT into iPhone and iPad… and Siri gets smarter
Apple announced a new update to the platform Apple Intelligence It includes integrating the ChatGPT service with its ecosystem on iPhone and iPad, in a move aimed at enhancing artificial intelligence capabilities across its devices.
The company explained that the new update, available to users of iOS 18.2, iPadOS 18.2, and macOS 15.2, allows users to benefit from ChatGPT capabilities directly via the Siri voice assistant, by starting voice commands with the phrase “Use ChatGPT.”
This integration comes as part of a comprehensive update to the platform, which also adds new features in the field of image generation, such as creating custom emojis, which the company called “Genmoji,” and the Image Playground application, which allows creating images using text commands.
In terms of writing, the update enhanced the platform’s capabilities in rephrasing texts and improving messages, with the ability to modify the tone of the content to be more professional, friendly, or brief, through integrated tools that work smoothly on all Apple devices.
It is noteworthy that this update represents the first major development for the Apple Intelligence platform since its launch last October, as the initial version focused on writing and summarizing tools supported by artificial intelligence.
