It seems that the reason for not releasing the game Black Myth: Wukong on Xbox platforms is not technical at all, but rather PlayStation. Yes, this is what was revealed by a journalist on the famous Forbes website.
According to Paul Tassi, a writer for Forbes magazine (quoted from Forbes.com), insider-gamingThe reason Black Myth: Wukong is not being released on Xbox platforms is due to an agreement with Sony to keep the home console version exclusive to the PlayStation 5 platform.
Where he said Tassi: “A source familiar with the situation tells me that Black Myth: Wukong is currently not available on Xbox due to an exclusivity deal, and has not been delayed due to any kind of technical issues.”
It is worth noting that the same journalist had previously mentioned that the game was not released on Xbox platforms due to technical problems facing the developer Game Science. However, it seems that the matter has now become clear and that there is an agreement that was signed behind closed doors to keep the game exclusive to Sony's home platform.
However, Microsoft seems to be aware of this secret deal, as the Chinese developer previously stated that they are working hard to fine-tune the game for Xbox to meet their desired quality standards. Microsoft's response was different, as the company commented on the delay of Black Myth: Wukong on its platforms, saying that they do not comment on any agreements made by their partners with other platforms (referring to PlayStation).
