Stalker 2 will support cross-platform play with mods after launch!

I did Recently interviewed With the main product of the developers of Stalker 2 Slava Lukyaninka andZakhar BocharovWe got more information about STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl and in particular about some of the features that should arrive after launch, such as ray tracing support, cross-play, and more.

These are fairly well-known items, which probably won't be available in the game's supposed November 20 release, and will likely find space through subsequent post-launch updates, as the team previously mentioned. Given the somewhat complex configuration, these are items that the developers deemed less important on day one on the market but are still in progress and will arrive later.

Ray tracing and some other NVIDIA technologies will come in a simulated form at launch, but support for the same technology with NVIDIA's popular DLSS is also set to come at a later date, and the producer seems to be referring to Lumen as a feature built into Unreal Engine 5, which will be present in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl at launch of course, with support for all RTX technologies later.

Explain Bocharov Then cross-platform play will also arrive later after release, perhaps through Mod.io, as already happens with previous installments. The idea is to find a more structured solution to officially introduce mods, through Steamworks, Mod.io or something similar, but no final decision has been made on this yet.

Bocharov confirmed that multiplayer is planned for Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl but for now, the developer is focused on making the single-player as polished as possible.
