Allard confirmed in an email to the media that he had assumed the new position, noting that it was too early to disclose details of his duties, but that he would work on “new ideas.”

According to the site GeekWireAllard will report to Panos Panai, the former head of Microsoft's Windows and Service sectors, who recently joined Amazon after a nearly 20-year career at the giant company.
