Until Dawn Remake developer hit with layoffs ahead of release next month!
Ballistic Moon, the studio responsible for developing Until Dawn Remake, has reached a very critical stage of procedures before the launch of its game in question next October, as it has made a final decision to lay off a number of employees.
The exact number has not been disclosed, and the developer has not yet issued a statement about the unfortunate layoffs, but many workers there have confirmed that it happened at Ballistic Moon, and some have spoken about their desire to look for work in an unfortunate manner, as the developer said: Stuart Campbell His performance has become redundant for the studio and “I am looking for new opportunities.”
She said Cassie Cornish is a game designer at the studio. Like many who have worked in this wonderful yet turbulent industry, she has become “redundant,” but she thanked the team with some wonderful words and said she is excited to release her final work with the studio in Until Dawn Remake next October.
At the time of writing, five or so have been reported as having been laid off, but these are certainly not the actual numbers that would be expected to represent a real and significant proportion of Ballistic Moon's workforce to achieve the desired balance in the end.
We don't know how much the layoffs will affect the studio, but we hope that they won't affect Until Dawn Remake and cause it to be delayed from its scheduled release date of October 2024 on PS5 and PC.
