Samsung starts developing One UI 7.1
Samsung is preparing to launch the One UI 6.1.1 update for its foldable devices and tablets next month, but it is also developing the One UI 7.0 update that is expected to be released later this year.
Meanwhile, the South Korean company has started developing One UI 7.1, which will come with the Galaxy S25 series.
The first build of the One UI 7.1 update has been spotted on Samsung's servers, and it appears to be for the US variant of the Galaxy S25 Ultra, with the build number S938USQU0AXH4.
Not many details have been revealed about the One UI 7.1 update yet, but it is likely to bring improved AI-powered features.
Since the Galaxy S25 series will use new processors such as Exynos 2500 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 4These processors are expected to offer more powerful Neural Processing Units (NPU), enabling devices to offer better performance and AI features.
The Exynos 2500 is built on Samsung's 3nm (3GAP) technology and consists of ten cores including one Cortex-X5 core, five Cortex-A730 cores, and four Cortex-A520 cores. The processor is expected to feature the Xclipse 950 GPU based on the RDNA architecture, which supports hardware-enhanced ray tracing.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is rumored to feature two Oryon cores clocked at 4GHz and six power-efficient cores clocked at 2.8GHz. Reports show that this octa-core processor is 35% faster in single-core tests and 30% faster in multi-core tests compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
The Adreno 830 graphics processor is expected to see significant performance improvements.
