Samsung's new experimental One UI 7 interface delivers super-fast performance

◾ Smooth and fast transitional movements in the third beta

◾ Improvements in fingerprint and always-on display

◾ New sound effects for locking, unlocking and charging

An information leaker from within Samsung revealed the fast performance of unlocking movements in the upcoming beta version of the One UI 7 interface, which is still under development.

The Ice Universe account posted a video clip on the X platform showing the speed and reliability of the unlocking process compared to the current version. The updates also included an always-on display screen similar to that found in the iPhone, with noticeable improvements in the response speed of the fingerprint sensor.

Samsung added new sound effects in the third beta version for the locking, unlocking, and charging functions, with clear and pure sound, although these changes may not appeal to all users.

The third beta version is expected to be launched within the next few days, after its expected release in December was delayed. Samsung is expected to announce the schedule for launching the final update on January 22, with an official launch coinciding with the unveiling of the Galaxy S25 series, and possible general distribution in mid-February 2025.

The new update brings major design changes and improvements in shapes, curves and colours, in addition to a wide range of new features and developments in Galaxy AI.
